The key is not to prioritize what's on your schedule, but to schedule your priorities.

Are You In The Results Business?

A professional real estate practice (and many other endeavors) rewards RESULTS, not time and effort. The top 1% focus on delivering results that meet or exceed expectations.

Effort vs. Results

Clients don’t pay for the hours you put in. They pay for the home sold, the home bought, the problem solved. Busy is not the same as productive.

How to Stay in the Results Business

  • Define the result first. Before every appointment, know what a win looks like for the client and for you.
  • Set expectations early. Agree on timelines, communication and what success means, so there are no surprises.
  • Track outcomes, not just activity. Calls and showings matter, but measure appointments set, contracts signed and closings.
  • Debrief. After every transaction, ask what worked and what you’d do differently.

A Weekly Results Check

Once a week, take fifteen minutes and answer four questions:

  1. What results did I deliver for clients this week?
  2. Which activities actually led to them?
  3. What did I do that produced nothing?
  4. What one change will I make next week?

The third question is the uncomfortable one. Most of us carry habits that feel productive and aren’t: reorganizing the CRM, rewriting the same social post, sitting in meetings with no clear outcome.

Answer honestly and patterns show up fast. You’ll see which lead sources convert and where your week quietly disappears. Effort still matters. It’s the price of admission. But results are what clients remember, refer and come back for.

The same rule applies to leaders. Coach your agents on results they can measure, and recognize them when they deliver.

The key is not to prioritize what's on your schedule, but to schedule your priorities.
