Remember a stretch when you were completely on fire, focused, driven and getting results? You can get that back. Here’s how.
1. Reconnect With Your Why
- Remember what lit you up in the first place.
- Check that your work lines up with your values. When it does, focus comes easier.
- Picture what reaching your goal will look and feel like.
2. Study Your Own Best Season
- What were you doing every day when things were working?
- Don’t reinvent the wheel. Bring those habits back.
- Lean into your strengths.
3. Set Up Your Environment
- Cut the distractions: silence notifications and protect your focus time.
- Keep reminders of your goals where you’ll see them.
- Spend time with people who raise your energy, not drain it.
4. Take Care of the Basics
Focus runs on energy. Sleep, eat well, move every day and give your mind some quiet. Skip the basics, and no strategy will save you.
5. Keep the Fuel Coming
- Set goals that stretch you but stay within reach.
- Break big goals into small steps you can finish this week.
- Celebrate progress, even small wins.
- Find an accountability partner who will check on you.
6. Protect Your Focus
- Work in focused blocks with short breaks.
- Do one thing at a time.
- Review your goals and progress every week.
The fire doesn’t come back on its own. You rebuild it, one focused day at a time.
